Artur,
I'm using an older version of this lens--the 90/2.5. And I'm quite happy
with the results. It is my only macro lens so I have nothing to compare it
with. As a portrait lens it is excellent. I also use an EOS 100/2, which I
find outstanding in terms of contrast and sharpness; it would be really
interesting to compare the two scientifically. From the tests I've read
(including Gary Reese's), the Tamron does well.
Hope this is a help.
Glen
