You are closer to the truth than you realise 8-)
At London Heathrow I remember them asking very emphaticly that if you had a
mechanical clock of any description in your check-in luggage that you tell them
before checking it in.
"sorry sir, that puff of smoke on the other side of the airfield was your
suitcase"
