I just bought a new Tamron 2.8/80-200 LD with OM adapter that was a
remnant item in the camera store. It's beautifully crafted with color
lens markings, large bayonet hood, and sturdy case. It's quite large and
heavy.
Has anyone used this lens before with an Olympus? How does it compare to
the Zuiko 4/80-200 or the Tokina 2.8/80-200? I only shot a few pictures
in the Bronx Zoo with it and don't have any results yet.
I believe this lens is no longer produced. It includes the same LD (low
dispersion?) glass elements that were used in the 2.8/300 and the 4/400 LD
lenses.
