:As I understand it, one of the points of the 40/2 lens was to make the OM
:camera thin enough to drop into a coat pocket. Has anyone used their camera
this
:way? Was it fun, or just clunky?
Hmm, I just tried it, but I must say that an OM-1+40/2 doesn't really feel
like a pocket camera. It feels more like you're carrying a box of steel in
your pocket (which is of course true). Maybe it feels better with an
OM-10...without the Manual Adapter, of course!!! :-)
Btw, in the last Camera Magazine there's a nice article about a new pancake
lens Soligor is developing (they tested a prototype). An aspherical
28mm/F3.5 that makes our 40mm/F2 Zuiko feel like a brick: it weighs only 60
gram...
