You are quite right. IS-3 DLX has a different name outside US, and it
is IS-3000 (except for Japan where it's called L-3 I think). While
IS-3(000) was released as long ago as 1990, the IS-30 is an all
together new camera. It is the latest development in the smaller
IS-10/10S/20 series, and the international name is IS-300 (L-30 in
Japan). For info on IS-30(0) look at

Puhhh... Too many different (but very similar) names for the same
product can be somewhat tiresome.
