Jan, no offense, but on eB*y -- 9 hours is ETERNITY (and I don't mean this
in the Calvin Klein sense :-)). I saw bids on attractive, highly sought
after items go up as much as 50%, and sometimes double(!), in the last
2-5 minutes of an auction.

Again, no offense to Jan, but I recommend that every net dweller use
extreme caution in disclosing excessive amounts of personal info. in
their .sig files. By doing so, you are exposing yourselves to inane
quantities of "spam", junk mail, unsolicited phone calls, and maybe
even personal visits by weirdos, dangerous criminals, (or fellolw
Zuiks who lust after your toys ?! :-)).
While I am not a proponent of the often paranoid(!) disguise techniques
that one can see in the newsgroups, eB*y, and other public fora, and
a mailing list is inherently more secure, I would still plead with
everyone to err on the side of caution.
Cheers,
/Gary Schloss.
