I seem to remember something from John H. about the surprising accuracy of
the OM-1 shutter compared to the electronic shutters, sorry,
"electronically timed ..." The key advantage to me is incremental shutter
speeds and the possibility of aperture priority shooting. I've never
successfully convinced myself that I could blame any bad exposures with my
OM-1 on an inaccurate shutter.
