Hi list members,
Olympus says in sales brochures (which were often very straightforward)
that multi coating should be useful from a technical viewpoint. In fact, I
know some lenses with many elements and only single coating, which seems to
have less reflections in backlight conditions than some multi coated
lenses. I think that such lenses must be geometrically optimized not to
picture internal planes with reflections. Such a lens is the Flektogon 20mm
1:4 from CZJ. So it is probably useful to multi coat such surfaces, which
can be pictured through the following elements of the lens.
