Jan,
Don't eat that crow just yet. I have a 250 back, winders 1 and 2 and 2 MD-2
units, with either M.15v or M.18v power packs. Although the M.18v is my
preferred power source for ease of handling reasons, I had successfully used
all the power film transport attachemnts successfully with an OM-2n and
OM-1n. I've never tried shooting with the OM-4T, although the 250 back
*appears* to fit properly. My guess is there is something not quite right
with your particular back.
On the 250 back, on the right side as you hold the pressure plate facing
you, is a smallish block that grasps the lower portion of the body, what I
believe you refer to as "the screw-on bottom latch". For use with the MD-2,
that block must be removed. A single screw holds it on. As for the
problems with the winders, I just don't know.
