In my experience the top cover does not just snap off quite so easily - one has
to
apply inward pressure on the seam joining the two halves together, or just next
to
the seam on the top cover, at a position along the length about level with the
hole for the phillips screw. This must be done while also exerting a slight
force
to pull the two halves apart.
