Why is the digest including attachments all of a sudden? I'm getting a
WINMAIL.DAT file with each digest. I don't do Windows. I don't want Bill
Gates putting files on my computer. First, he destroys Netscape, now is he
going to force Windows email protocols on everyone? I want my email in
plain text, thank you!
Also, many of us who use plain text email clients end up scrolling through
tons of data that Outlook is apparently helpfully including. One person's
one-line reply ended up being perhaps hundreds of lines of hex data. I've
privately corresponded with a couple people to try to solve the problem, to
no avail. One said he turned MIME off, the other couldn't find such a
switch, and would appreciate some help. Can someone describe how to make
Microsoft email products behave?
Sorry to be such a curmudgeon, but PLEASE, folks -- this is a high-traffic
list. Please trim quotes to a minimum, turn off HTML, MIME, special fonts,
and any other "embellishments," and don't include attachments -- no vcards,
face picts, nothing! Your words of wisdom are quite enough un-embellished!
