[OM] Om-3 flash snyc

Just thinking (dreaming) does the OM-3 or OM-3ti still fire the flash
when the batteries are dead or are they like the OM-4t and the flash
won't fire unless the batteries are good?  I realize that the ttl would
not work without the batteries.
