Well, after querying (ok, begging) several list members for details, the upshot
is that while there are several different "editions" specifically
(1)"C240E-1984", (2)"C240E-1985 Printed in Japan" and (3)"C240E-Oct. 1985
Printed in Japan" (1) and (2) have the the same complement of lenses described
while (3) has three additional lenses (50/2 macro, 180/2, 35-70/3.5-4.5) added
to existing pages.
The "C240E-Oct. 1985 Printed in Japan" (3) has the following lenses, starting
with the 8/2.8 on page 110 and each batch between :: is two pages, ie
16/3.5 is on page 112 ->

p.s.There may, in fact probably are, minor changes between the different print
runs.
p.p.s. If Gary's right about the premium for the later edition, I guess I did
alright by buying a copy of "C240E-Oct. 1985 Printed in Japan" ($24.95) on my
first ever trip to Hunt's camera (north of Boston) last year. It does have a
razor cut on it's front though.
