I bought one secondhand recently, and have found the spotmeter a boon.
However, I took it out with my OM1 on Sunday, and still feel that the older
models are nicer to use. I also cannot get excited about the mushy shutter
sound - I prefer the brief, crisp sound of the OM1's single mirror. There is
something timeless about that old OM1 (ca.1975?), that I can't define...
it's still my "desert island" choice.
dislikes: shutter sound, annoying beep when pointed at bright light on auto
(which is also the Off setting!), fixed hotshoe, battery fears (as yet
undfounded).
likes: manual/spot mode, lluminated display for low light, usual OM
proportions etc etc.
