The only OMs that used Mercury batteries were the OM-1 and OM-1n.

The OM-2(n), OM-2s, OM-3(Ti), OM-4(T(i)), and OM-10,20,30,40 all used
silver-oxides which come in many designations. You CAN also use
Alkalkines in these because they have the same fresh batter voltage
BUT the voltage drops off as the battery is used up so you get
unreliable readings -- thus Alkalines should only be used when fresh
and typically only in an "emergency". Silver Oxide batteries retain
their voltage to a very tight range during almost all of their life.
