My experience with a mirror lens is BAD. It was an off-brand 500/8. I swore
I'd never get another. I did later consider a used Oly 500/8, but
eventually passed on it. They also have donut-shaped bokeh which many find
distasteful. I see no evidence of that in your photos. I've also used
cassegrain telescopes for terrestrial photography and always been
disappointed. So, I was impressed with your results. My message WAS meant
as a compliment. Hope that wasn't lost in the worry over the mirror lens.
