I think this only applies to T flashes on the OM-2n and above. If you use a
non-T flash, or cover the flash ready contact, and leave the camera on Auto, it
will act like an OM-2 and "drag" the shutter.
I have done this on my 4T and QA310 flash, with the flash set to normal auto.
Not something to try handheld or with moving subjects though.
