Hi folks. Just a note to introduce myself. I used to work a little in print
journalism back in the late 70's. At the time I used Olympus OM system
equipment. Without boring you with the colorful details, I got out of it
suddenly around 1980 and sold most of my equipment. I still have a Winder1
from my old equipment, but that's about it. Anyway, I've decided to get back
into it again, if only as a hobby, and after looking around a little I've
decided that I'm going to buy OM gear again. I'm thinking about grabbing an
OM-2n body and a 24mm, a 35mm and maybe a zoom. I've been looking over the
resources available on the net and the Zuiko zooms seem a little iffy in
quality. I guess the 35-80 is pretty sweet, but (cost aside) I'd really
rather use primes in that range, anyway. I had a Vivitar 90-230 back in the
day and wonder if any of the Zuiko lenses in that moderate telephoto range
come with an endorsement from list members. I'd also be interested in
hearing opinions on the current 24mm and 35mm offerings from Zuiko.
I hope I haven't eaten up too much bandwidth and than you for reading.
