Yes, I forgot to admit this is the only area I generally bracket;
nighttime, sunrise, and sunset. I've never heard of Freeman Patterson (what
does he do?) but I have unknowingly followed this philosophy myself, at
dawn and dusk. I let the meter pick the exposure, shoot, and then
underexpose by a full stop. Invariably it's the underexposed shot that's
the best...
