If you have a 2nd roll in reserve (from a 2nd body), you still have
options. The lab can burn down, your shutter can go blooey, UPS can lose
it, the technician can blunder, etc. (Anyone remember Capa's D-Day pics ?)
True, it very rarely happens, but when it does...Besides, anyone who
shoots slides will know the value of having 1/3rd-1/2 stop variants and
in-camera dupes.
