The conventional thinking is that the faster lenses are
generally superior, though not necessarily by much. I
prefer the smaller lenses, though -- for me, they're what
really differentiate Olympus from the rest. To paraphrase
Doris, if I want a big lens, I've got my MF gear.

Never used one, don't know. I normally use a 21 or a 35,
and don't have much use for a 28.

I'd think your current 24 would fit into this lineup better
than a 28. I'd also think that there are some pretty good
zooms covering this range (28-100).
Are you a traveller or a photographer? This is one of those
"eternal" questions. I've been to Nepal twice, and came down
on the "photographer" side of this (two camera bodies, four
lenses) each time. If I were to go again...let's just say
that the 24-120 Nikkor (heresy!) looks pretty interesting for
travel.
