Bill, it's just a movable stop. Slide it one way, and the flash head can
only pivot down to horizontal. Slide it the other way, and it uncovers a
little recess so that the flash head can pivot below horizontal (for close
work).

I just got a T32 without instructions. Operation seems straight
forward. But there is a sliding door below the flash and above the
'Olympus' on the front. This is marked with a two headed arrow and
slides left and right. What function does this perform?
