Does anyone have recommendations for processing labs in the UK or Ireland
who might make a good job of the following -
What I want is to get around 90 to 100 6" by 4" prints from a slide. The
slide in question is of a tree, at night, lit by small bulbs, so contrast is
high.
Cibachrome seems too expensive for this quantity. I did try making my own
interneg using the OM auto-bellows and slide copier (note OM content). The
problem seems to be that local minilabs only print a portion of the frame
and their colour balance is creative to say the least.
I did also try a bit of contrast reduction by a double exposure of a
pre-flashed frame followed by the slide, setting the compensation dial to -1
on an OM2n and using a T32. The balance wasn't right - too much pre-flash
and a browninsh print as a result. Does anyone have any recommendations
regarding making your own internegs ?
