Hi. There is always the OM-2S if you want the "better design" without the
muss and fuss of the OM-4 ;-)
Problem is that the 2S shoe has its own issues. Mine has grown a little
wiggly with age. I have the feeling that the only real solution to wear and
tear on the shoes is a flash bracket. I have an aftermarket flash bracket
that I use with a duo-sync cord now primarily because the cord produces
less wear and tear on the shoe than the direct weight of the flash.
