An improved version of the D600L (1600L? in Europe and Japan) appears to be
available now in the U. S. I stumbled upon this going through the
rec.photo.digital newsgroup.
The US version is the D620L equivalent to the D1600XL elsewhere. B&H has this
camera listed on their Web site. I don't think it was in their December flyer.
Also B&H lists the D400Z, which might be equivalent to the D900?
No, I am not considering to buy a digital camera yet. I am into the digital
darkroom, however. I had 200 of my Scotland photos scanned onto 2 photoCDs in
September, and have printed perhaps 40 of those. Quite a number of my through
the bus windows photos were taken with my OM2000, which was handy for such a
purpose because I had the camera in my hand ready to shoot anything interesting
without refocusing during our several long bus rides.
