An ordinary hair dryer is not hot enough to fully shrink tubing. There
is a way around this, however.
You stick a sock (or your hand) over the air inlet.
This causes the temperature to rise high enough to shrink the tubing.
The "catch" is that the dryer will overheat. Many dryers have a thermal
cutoff that turns off the dryer after 10 seconds or so. You hve to wait
until the cutoff resets until you can use the dryer again.
If you decide to use this trick, be _very_ careful.
