Hi, Brad.
I quote from the Holy Writ of the Varimagni Finder (e.g. instructions):
"To correctly adjust the unit to match your eyesight, look through the
eyepiece with the magnification lever at "2.5X", and rotate the camera's
focusing ring to throw the subject temporarily out of focus. Rotate the
diopter correction ring to the right or to the left, until the microprism
on the focusing screen can be seen clearly. then bring the subject back
into focus again by turning the focusing ring."
Purportedly, this gizmo has an adjustment range of -7 to +3 diopters, as
mentioned elsewhere on the sheet.
Hope this helps. Regards,
Mahlon

Subject: [OM] varimagni finder
Hello All,
Finally got my hands on a OM Varimagni finder. It didn't come
with an instruction booklet. I'm assuming the diopter adjustment
is done the same way as it is on the OM4. Any other tidbits of
wisdom anyone can share about the use of this item?
thanks in advance,
Brad
