One more voice.
I also responded to Mr Clouseau, via e-mail on Sat 10/17. I was
offering
to negotiate price and send a postal MO as soon as we agreed on $$ I
heard nothing
from him until Mon when he simply e-mailed that it was sold.
Couple thoughts: I began to wonder about this deal when the second
e-mail from Alain came in
on Sat morning (copied below for reference). I don't have the first
e-mail here, but I remember
that a camera was included in the first list. It is absent here. Also
first msg said he wants
to sell right away for $500. This one says make offer by Wed.
Another question: Does Remi have a clue what this stuff is really
worth? The first 3 items
alone are probably worth $500. Why was he selling so cheaply? As
someone said "If it seems
too good to be true ..."
Lastly, if Remi was "giggling with glee" over his good fortune at having
folks battle over his
gear for $700, that can only mean he ain't the brightest bulb in the
closet, cause he could've
put the stuff on ebay and gotten, I'd guess, closer to $1500 for them
individually. Also, he
never got back to me for my price. I'd have gone $1000 - hear that,
monsewer Remi?
The other possibility is that the gear is, shall we say, a bit too hot
for the Canadian winter?
George
PS: Alain, I would invite you to NOT post any more FS messages to the
list.
PPS: I feel a bit apprehensive for whoever did purchase these items.

Hi all
My email is at office and I have post the first email to the list about
this subjet (macro kit) Friday after the job.
I quit the office thinking I will take my mail only monday...
but I think it's not cool for the list member who have interest in macro
and
this deal.
Personnal call at home and a little more reflexion suggest to me
that maybe this deal will close before monday.
So, I'm back to my office (in the week-end, hum...) where the phone
number of the seller is and
contact him to have more details and his email for the member of the
list
and I see the excitement I caused on the list.
Please contact Remi Cloutier for the exact description of the equipment
and to make your offer.
Remi ask 500$ US and he want to sell all in one block.
The buyer pay the post and make a postal money order.
Make your offer before Wednesday night to
Remi Cloutier (remi.cloutier@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx) office email (he will be at
the office only Monday).
or contact him at
home 418-824-5368 in Quebec city Canada
or office 418-646-6792
