3.- With camera bolted on to a race car roll cage, glider wing, sailboat
mast, building crane, guard rail, overhead (with an
ultrawide/fisheye) makes
for great action shots, even if you are working with a 2nd
body from another angle. I saw a SI shooter set them up on the
corners at Sebring, and get shots from pultiple viewpoints.
4.- Lets you get away from the tripod in portraiture, or shoot
candids by preselecting the background, and shooting people
as they walk into/through it. Harald Sund & Meola have done
some great images with this technique.
5.- It's great to let models (by this I mean all kinds, from pro models
to wives, kids, party-goers, etc.) take a few shots of themselves on
their own. It brings back that naughty photo-booth feeling. :-)
