Chris,Stuart,and other fellow OMites,
I tend to agree with Chris, IMHO. I don't beleive the occasional off-
topic threads go into the hundreds, for one. Most deal with photo- related
(I'd consider beer tastes of the Irish and such an item of interest for
travelers, which many of us seem to be- therefore photo-related).
Secondly, I find this non-technical, SOMEWHAT off topic discussions a bit
of fresh air. It makes the newsgroup as a whole read less like tech lit and
gives it a bit of personality. Of course, this is from someone who works
in the photography business and hears it all day long. My opinion could be
somewhat biased :)
All of this ,of course, does not relate to off-topic threads that get
out of hand (I'll never mention MC's again, I promise!:))
enjoy,
Brad
