Well, the M*nox does not compare with 35RC/RD, but IMHO the Olympus XA
beats it hands down.

You may say whatever you want. We Zuiks are a benevolent folk, and we
execute OLY detractors only once a month. Moreover, you get your choice
of death by firing squad, lynching, or by a lethal injection of sarcasm
(my all-time favorite! :-)). Note that we had to dispense with the use
of the guillotine, due to France's utter indifference to the OM system.
Anyways, the XA has all of the above M*nox characteristics, and it adds
a rangefinder, a self-timer, better selection of flashes, much easier
film loading, etc. The only advantage of the M*nox is its ability to
accept screw-on filters.
As to the 35RC/RD, the former is more compact, the latter has a faster
lens and more shutter speeds, and both offer full manual control. There
used to be an "under construction" web page with a summary of all OLY
rangefinders' specs, picts, etc. Does anyone recall the URL? The page
was compiled by one of the OLY list contributors (was it Les Clark?)
