It is really written "pinto boke" in Romanzed Katakana, to be precise.
I think "pin boke" is a shortend term of "pinto boke".
I do not know where the phrase "pinto" came from even I'm Japanese.
Maybe honorable Yamamoto sensei can teach us.<g>
