I am not usually a good one to follow up on these things. I just don't give
them my business anymore. (and pretend they care).
In this case I would pursue all your listed avenues and hope to at least
embarrass the
culprits.
If they did do the dirty, then I expect we could all bad mouth them to
potential customers.
