This is truly interesting. I was aware of the prohibition against using the
20 directly on the body. I just was curious about how easy/difficult it was
to use, since I had just bought it off the list. The camera was set up,
there was half a roll left, so what the hell, I figured? In fact there is a
'quality' to the photos (or lack thereof) that I ascribe to it not being on
a bellows. I'm having a hard time describing it, but part of it seems a
lack of contrast.
But it's beyond belief that they OK the T10 and nix the T8. The T10 simply
does not work on the 20, plain and simple. The lens is so close to the
subject that the light doesn't get near it. I'll have to run another
experiment with the 20 on the tele ext tube again with both flashes. Maybe
using it correctly will give a greater lens-to-subject distance and allow
the T10 to work; but it still wouldn't make sense why the T8 won't. Oh
well, guess if you've goota break the rules, break them all at one time!

Denton Taylor
