I have an OM Lens Group Manual, date code 1176, which does not mention
multicoating anywhere, BUT there are pics of all the lenses with their
description and a sample photo. It is not possible to make out the writing
around the front rim of all the lenses due to differing angles, however the
18/3.5, though listed as still "in development", is pictured and one can
quite clearly make out the letters "... System Zuiko MC Auto-W...". The
35/2.8 shift is also under development, but its pic doesn't allow one to see
the relevant side. No other lens appears to have MC written on the rim, but
I can't see all of them.
Cheers
Andy

We all know from:
http://www.astro.wellesley.edu/lhawkins/photo/multicoat.txt
what Zuiko did and when. The 24mm f/2.0, 28mm f/2.0 and 35mm f/2.0 WERE
part
of the 1-1974 initial products release, although Olympus didn't MENTION
multicoating of them in internal product literature till 1-1978.
The URL cited above has quite a gap from 10-1974 till 1-1978. If anyone has
lens literature from between those dates, it would be interesting to see if
multicoated was mentioned.
