Well, let's consider the three hard sellers: Nikon Canon and Minolta.
Canon and Minolta have discontinued r&d (or even production) on MF models
and sell AF only lines (EOS, Maxxum si, Maxxum xi).
Nikon does have two lines of products, but the MF gear is sold for a
premium price. And there are no new releases on MF stuff.
And of course your story shows that an AF body can always do manual, while
the opposite is not true. So why buying MF?
