It makes sense that if the diaphragm is only sticking on
_release_ then it won't affect exposures on the camera, no?

If you can't send it back, then you can use it as is, (it may work OK on
the
body, I have a lens like this, it seems sticky off the camera, but on the
camera, it works OK)
