The foam eyepiece to prism foam seal eats the silver off the prism, and it
looks like fungus. It shows up as slanting fuzzy areas in the viewfinder.
This is extremely common with OM-1s in this climate, and it will probably
start showing up in later cameras in the future. This could be your problem.
Since the silver coating is damaged, I doubt there is any cure other than a
replacement prism. Prevention is best here. Get the foam replaced before it
turns to corrosive goo.
