Hello Olympus list,
I am finally back from an unexpectedly long trip to Las Vegas.
My wife had an emergency appendectomy while we were gone and 1 1/2 weeks turned
into 3 weeks.
For all you left eyed people out there, try putting an eye cup on the camera.
I did it as a test and it seemed to help.
As a curiosity, I never looked through a viewfinder with my left eye before and
when I did the bottom of the split image blacked out. This is with a 28 mm SC
3.5 Zuiko and a 1-13 screen. Weird, I had trouble getting my eye in the right
(or left) place.
On another subject: I had encountered a dilemma with this same lens. In
bright daylight I needed a polarizer to get any color saturation at all,
however the sky was unevenly polarized because of the wide lens (looks bad). I
used the original hard rubber lens shade when no filter was mounted. It seems
that the problem is a combination of flare, haze and reflection.
Any suggestions? (and don't say get up earlier)
