Yeah, but that didn't really surprise me. Macros have to have great
flat-field performance and to some extent that's what I was testing, albeit at
infinity.
I haven't done this test with teles, but I have done some guided shots, eg
Hale-Bopp, and they're great wide open. They being 300/4.5 and 250/2.
