Generally speaking, I think Garth is right on this. Over the past 3
years of fairly steady Oly seeking, I've seen very few bargains,
most of which I was too indecisive to scoop up:
16 f3.5 for $275, mint - (ouch)
85 f2 for $195, mint. (took me two years before I even *saw*
another one, only about an 8m and I paid the $200 this time)
There were two 200 f4's at $129 when I bought my 85, but both
were early SC silver rimmed models, so I'm told this price is only
average.
I've seen plenty of 75-150s and 135/3.5 for $99-139, but these are
hardly worth the drive across the border. (all prices CDN of course)
Unless Montreal has plenty of cheap Oly gear, it's probably not
worth a special trip.
