I installed my new Beattie screen with grid in my OM-4T yesterday. The grid
lines look black and clear while the 1-10 screen has faint grid lines. As far
as I am concerned the brightness of the Beattie screen and my 2-4 screen are
about the same.
When I used the grid lines for alignment, it was easier to see grid lines, but
the alignment itself was not much easier. Part of it may be I could not see the
vertical lines in the structure of a church I was photographing yesterday. I
am wondering lighter grid lines as in Oly screen might be better. One thing
about black grid lines is that they are obtrusive and I would not use this
screen for anything else but architecture photography.
I also like the Olympus case for focusing screens better than that for Beattie
screens. I am taking an Oly case with my 2-4 screen in to Scotland.
