I thought that Japan Inc was the originator of 'employee-for-life' concept.
In any event, it is certain that American workers change jobs more
frequently than their Japanese counterparts. Also, here you have a more
dynamic employment environment, what with more small, entrepreneurial
companies, start-ups, as well as behmonths like GE, GM, and HP.
