I remember one January in Cairns a few years back...
There was a power outage in the middle of the night, causing the
ceiling fan to stop rotating.
I got up to check the fuses, and happened to check the thermometer in
the kitchen (btw this was a modern concrete block house designed to be
cool in tropical climates).
32C at 2am!
