Hi Stephen:
<< My friend Sam did amazing shots incorporating the light leaks in his $2
plastic camera into the composition. >>
One of my best shots ever (a bridge view at Phantom Ranch in the bottom of
Grand Canyon) was attributable to light leak around the shutter curtain in a
Canon V rangefinder camera. I had touched the shutter after taking the lens
off. I got edge leakage that perfectly contributed to a sense of surrealism
in the backlight scene. The pix eventually make it to a book cover. One of
those lucky shots we don't anticipate. I think I was 19 when I took it. Alas,
the transparency got gouged by a broken glass mount during one of my many
cross country moves. I believe only three Cibachomes ever got made of it.
