I've had one of these, it used to be one of my most used lenses. Although I
was quite pleased with it's performance, it's been replaced by the Zuiko
90/2 which as we all know, is in a class all by itself. Colour is
considerably warmer in the Vivitar than the Zuiko. Sharpness is IMO very,
very good stopped down, but wide-open I'd only say decent. It's big and
heavy (about 600 grams), but remember it goes all the way down to 1:1 which
of course is highly convenient. Flare-resistance is not so good, this was
the main reason why I sold it, the Zuiko is considerably better in backlit
situations. Yes, it takes 52 mm filters. I myself have hardly had so much
fun with any lens!
