I think having the cover shot is more than worth a little ding on a filter
ring - even a big ding. I can buy another 21/2 with the stroke of a check
(or a little additional VISA card abuse <g>), but you just can't buy the
front page shot in the 'Times. No, I'd rather my stuff were scuffed and
dinged with a scrapbook full of published newspaper shots than pristine and
sitting in a drawer.
