>How does one develop a sense of "seeing" a great photo as one observes the

How does Gary Larson come up with "The Far Side" and now "A Worm's Story"?
Is the art of "seeing" a personality thing? Is it something that mere
mortals can try to attain but is reserved for the few "gifted" folk? Not
everybody has an engineering mind, a mathimatical mind, or a conceptual
mind. You can learn how to engineer, do math, or come up with concepts, but
can you learn how to "see" in your mind how that building will look even
before the blueprints are made?
Instead of asking "What is the subject" of this photograph, try asking "What
is the story that this subject wants to tell?"
