Only a little photography Ken. I have been too busy fixing slates on
the roof, broken windows etc etc. I have managed to do a little bit
of photography in my off moments - 1 roll of K64 so far. As John
Grufwyd (sp? sorry) mentioned to Tomoko recently, the weather has
been awful recently, though the last two days have been wonderful -
lots of blue sky, scudding clouds, high winds (No midges! 8-) and
fresh air by the tonne.
I had another bat encounter last night. I went to the dunny in the
early hours of the morn, switched on the light and just as I was
about to do my thing I caught sight of something on the window ledge
next to me. It was a bat - scanning its head from side to side -
sweeping its sonar beam around checking me out I suspect. Then it
took flight and circled me a few times and landed on the floor with
its wings outstretched. Then it flew around some more landed and so
on..
Put me off a bit then it landed and stayed put for a while so I
finished what I had been intending to do, then thought about grabbing
the camera but decided against it as it involved loading a new film,
finding batteries for the flash and I just couldn't be bothered at
that hour of the morning. The bat crawled between the business end
of the dunny and the S bend so I decided to let it be and closed the
lid, turned the light out and left - but left the outside door open.
There was no sign of it in the morning.
