Yes, we sell the bottom plates to individuals desiring to cosmetically
update their cameras. This does change the serial number. An individual
may want to check with their insurance carrier to see if this is a
problem if you have coverage on your camera. I had a customer order a
replacement top, back, bottom plate, lens mount, film winding knob, and
focusing screen to bring his camera up to "collectible" specs! Is this
appropriate? To him it was. Paul.
